EVENTS LEADING UP TO FUNGI FEST

Thursday, 10/10 at 5:30pm, our headline speaker, Jeremy Collison of Salish Mushrooms, presents “The Forest’s Hidden Tapestry.”

Light appetizers and drinks will be served starting at 4:30 to give you an opportunity to meet Jeremy and mingle with other fungi fanatics!

This talk will equip you with practical knowledge to interpret the forest’s mysterious messages, identify forest types, and offer new perspectives on the various organisms associated with mushroom foraging. The headline speaker will be presenting from Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory’s Pozzi Education building located at 57245 River Road.

Thursday and Friday the Resort will be hosting a Fungi Themed Happy Hour from 4 pm to 6 pm! There will be a mushroom-themed drink and appetizers!

Friday, 10/11, from 9 am to 2 pm: Join our fungi experts on a field trip into the local forests.
With expert foragers as your guides, you will learn how to identify mushrooms and where to look for them. Help collect the diversity of species that will be featured and on display for the mushroom show portion of Saturday’s festival. We will meet at Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory and carpool from there. Please bring your own food for the day.

  • FungiFest & Mushroom Show takes place on the campus of Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory, located at 57245 River Road in Sunriver.
  • Tickets will be available at the door. Last entry is at 2:30pm.
  • SNCO, SROA, and members of the Central Oregon Mushroom Club receive discounted admission to the event with appropriate code.
  • Dogs are not permitted; service animals excepted.
  • Bring a shopping bag and stock up at the mushroom marketplace.
