About Fungi Fest

Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory (SNCO) partners with the Central Oregon Mushroom Club (COMC) to present the 9th annual Fungi Fest! This community festival celebrates the magic of mushrooms and is a fundraiser for its non-profit hosts.

The event hosts a fungi-focused marketplace with mushroom products, art, and handmade items, along with an impressive display of freshly foraged mushrooms, educational opportunities, family friendly activities, food and fun. A keynote lecture, mushroom foraging field trips, and other programs are held in the week leading up to the main event.

The first annual Fungi Fest & Mushroom Show took place in 2017 at the end of Central Oregon’s fall mushroom season, under a foot of snow. Each year since then, the event has grown in scale and has been moved up to early October to coincide with the peak of our area’s mushroom season. Central Oregon Mushroom Club members provide the expertise for collecting and identifying hundreds of mushroom specimens and share their passion for mushroom diversity throughout the event.

Vendors, including food trucks/carts, interested in participating in the Sunriver FungiFest & Mushroom Show are welcome to submit an application. Vendors with a product or service to share in keeping with the spirit of the event’s theme are encouraged to apply.

Applications may be submitted through Manage My Market.
